When working for Abroad Experience in Phase A of a temporary contract, you (the Temporary Employee) are only paid for the hours actually worked. For every worked hour you will accumulate reservations (additional income). The size of the reserves is shown on the payslip that you will receive after every 4 week payment period.

While working under this contract you are entitled to the following reservations:

  • Holiday reserve – converted to 24 holidays per year, based on a forty hour working week and a full year of service. Therefore for each fully worked month (40 hrs/week), the Temporary Employee will build up sixteen hours holiday leave. During the holiday leave the actual wage will be paid out provided that the reserve for holiday built up until that moment is sufficient. Holiday leave shall not be taken without approval from his/her manager and not without informing the Employer.
  • The holiday allowance of 8% as statutorily regulated – this allowance will be paid out with the four-weekly salary payment in the first week of June of each year that the Temporary Employee has worked, or when the contract and assignment has come to and end.
  • A reserve for Dutch public holidays will be paid out with the four-weekly salary payment in the first week of June and calendar week 52 of the year that the Temporary Employee has been working. Also there will be a payment following a Dutch Public holiday or when the Contract and Assignment has come to an end.
  • A reserve for short absences from the workplace ‘Kort Verzuim’. For example, a reserve will be built up over the number of hours you have worked to use when time is needed off work to visit a doctor or dentist. This reserve will be paid out with the four-weekly salary payment in the first week of June and calendar week 52 of the year that the Temporary Employee has worked, or when the Contract and Assignment have come to an end.
