Our client is an international technical company based in Amersfoort and is currently seeking a proficient AV Systems Technician.
Responsibilities/Tasks
The Marketing AV Technician will work in the European Marketing department and reports to the Tradeshow Manager.
- Build and test A/V working stations from system drawings for Tradeshows and demo rooms.
- Build demo stations for sales managers and local offices.
- Support the Tradeshow, Product Marketing and Training team with testing workings stations prior to Events.
- Set-up and testing of working stations locally and on site at tradeshows and events which requires traveling throughout Europe.
- Assist the Product Marketing and Training team with documenting changes of working stations in Visio and / or AutoCad and create operation manuals for users of these systems.
- Keeps A/V equipment up to date with regular firmware and software updates.
- Inspect and test returned AV equipment after events.
- Maintain the stock of expensed AV equipment and makes sure that this part of the warehouse will remain structured.
- Prepare and setup classrooms and meeting rooms for events and makes sure equipment is always working and up to date.
- Assist with troubleshooting in case equipment fails during an event.
- Assist with marketing projects and other duties as required.
Requirements
- Strong technical background and relevant audio-visual experience, preferably in a rental and staging environment.
- Familiarity with projector and display setup, control systems, and system design is a plus.
- Experience in building AV systems is essential.
- Must be comfortable working in a hands-on role, setting up and testing AV systems rather than focusing solely on operating event controls.
- Ability to read and update system diagrams and build systems accordingly.
- Must be open to working weekends during tradeshows and events.
- A full-time position (40 hours per week).
- Should be adaptable and willing to handle various technical challenges.
- Open to travel throughout Europe to support tradeshows and events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
