Our client is a globally active company specializing in advanced Pilot and R&D process equipment for the food industry. Known for their technical innovation and customer-centric approach, they supply tailored solutions to leading multinational companies across the world. To support continued growth in the Asian market, they are seeking a commercially driven and technically savvy International Sales Consultant to join their team in the Utrecht region.

As International Sales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with clients and agents across Asia. You will be responsible for understanding technical requirements, crafting effective proposals, and converting leads into successful deals. This is a dynamic position that combines customer interaction, strategic market development, and close collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and agents in the Asian market.
  • Translate customer requirements and technical specifications into winning commercial proposals.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Identify and act upon developments in the Asian market through analysis and targeted initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, production, and R&D teams to align on solutions.
  • Convert proposals into orders and ensure accurate data tracking in the CRM system.
  • Support marketing and communication activities related to your target market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in a technical or commercial field, with strong affinity for engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in international technical sales or consultancy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of an Asian language (Mandarin, Japanese)
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to gauge lead status and client readiness.
  • Familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
  • Willing to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
  • Ideally based in the central Netherlands (Utrecht region).
