Our client is an international technical company in the Utrecht area. As Technical Services Manager, you’ll lead the Applications Engineers within the Sales Department, overseeing applications, design and repair support for resellers across Europe and reporting to the Technical Services Director.
Responsibilities/Tasks
Team leadership
- Manage and coach the Applications Engineers to deliver the best technical service to customers
- Own the goals and objectives of the technical sales team
- Take on escalated technical issues, commissioning or design projects on a project basis
Pre-sales
- Make sure Sales Managers and Account Managers get the right support on large designs, tenders and quotes
- Keep the team proactive in following up on smaller designs and tenders, and in advising on products
After-sales
- Oversee troubleshooting support to resellers and correct handling of the RMA process
- Evaluate the success of the team’s technical and project support
- Resolve issues that leave customers unhappy with products or services
- Manage on-site commissioning support where projects require it
Training & product development
- Train the Applications Engineers, individually or as a group, on current and newly released products
- Retrain based on evaluations of the support provided
- Feed product requirements and improvements back to product development, based on tenders and system designs
- Stay up to date with new technologies and step into any Applications Engineer task at the highest level
Requirements
- Strong hands-on AV experience in system design, programming and commissioning, including AV control and AV over IP
- Experience managing technical staff in AV integration
- Confident delivering technical training
- Organised, proactive and calm under pressure
- Excellent English, written and spoken
- Already living in the Netherlands with the right to work here
