Abroad Experience respects the privacy of individuals in every aspect of our business operations. We maintain a longstanding commitment to protecting the personal information and confidentiality of job seekers when providing services to our clients. Your personal information is only collected, used and disclosed by Abroad Experience International Recruitment in strict accordance with the regulations and requirements laid out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data will solely be collected for recruitment purposes.

What information do we keep on file?

As a job seeker using Abroad Experience’s professional recruitment services, you will be asked to provide certain pieces of information in order for us to provide you with the best possible service. In addition to your contact details, your CV and a description of the type of work you are looking for, your file may also include the following:

  • Interview notes
  • Educational records*
  • Reference letters *
  • Skill testing results

The gathered information can be accessed by the recruitment consultants at Abroad Experience in order to:

– Understand the qualifications, needs & preferences of a job seeker

– Identify the best suited job opportunities

– Fulfill our client’s requests for information about job candidates

– Provide the job seeker with appropriate recommendations on training or career services

– Provide payroll and other HR functions to you, for temporary employment arrangements

Abroad Experience never collects more personal information than is needed to fulfill these purposes. Reference checks are only done if requested by the client and with the consent of the job seeker. Neither personal information nor applications are sent to a potential employer without the consent of the job seeker.

How long do we keep your records on file?

Your details will be kept in our database for a period of one year. Within this period, you will periodically receive an e-mail asking if you wish to stay in our database. You can at any time ask us to remove your details from our database by sending an e-mail to unsubscribe@abroad-experience.com

If Abroad Experience, after a successful recruitment process, will be your temporary employer, we will also require: – Information necessary to provide our payroll services, including your BSN (burgerservicenummer) number, a copy of your passport and if required your work permit, banking details, tax deductions, vacation allowances, etc. Information related to payroll issues will be kept for the period of time legally required for administrative purposes.

When do we disclose personal information, and to whom?

Your personal information is never traded, sold or leased by us to any external company. We guarantee that your details will never be sent to third parties without your prior consent.

Children

Abroad Experience does not knowingly contact, collect or keep information from anyone under the age of 16. If a parent or a guardian suspects that his/her child has provided Abroad Experience with personal information he/she should contact us so that we can remove that information.

Through the website of Abroad Experience you are able to link to other websites which are not under the control of Abroad Experience. We have no control over the nature, content and set up of those sites and therefore Abroad Experience cannot be responsible for the protection of the personal information you share on that website.
